It’s happening in just a few weeks! The fantastic 40th anniversary party to celebrate the founding of Fillmore Arts Center in 1974!!  Below you’ll find all the glorious details.  We look forward to seeing you all ~ past and present students, parents, teachers, and Fillmore supporters of every stripe for an afternoon of family fun! WHERE:  Fillmore/Hardy Parking Lot and Field, after the Glover Park-Burleith Farmers’ Market
WHAT:
For Kids ~ MoonBounces, Face Painting (Paint Me Silly by Queen), Nail Salon, Arts Activities, Blue Sky Puppet Theatre performance

For Everybody ~ Birthday cake/cupcakes, Temporary tattoos, Musical Performances by past & present Teachers and Students of Fillmore Arts Center, including

For Adults ~ Displays of Work by Teacher and Parent Artists, including

  • Paco Alacid:  Photography & Ross Parent
  • Jamie Peterson:  Oil Painting & Stoddert Parent
  • Marja Ponkka-Carpenter:  Wall Sculpture, Fiber & Fillmore Visual Arts Teacher for 22 years  (See examples of her work here)
  • Elena Strunk:  Oil Painting, Monotypes, Linoleum Cuts, Collage & Fillmore Visual Arts Teacher for eight years
  • Sally Tsou:  Fused Glass, Photography, Jewelry & Fillmore Visual Arts Teacher for six years (See examples of her work here)

PLUS, there will be Food Trucks/Vendors, including Peruvian BrothersDolci Gelati, Simply Bahn Mi, and Rocklands BBQ
